I recently contacted Michael’s Glass Company to get an estimate (#6477) for a tempered glass stall shower door (about 33" x 80") with two square hinges and a handle. They were very professional—showed up right on time for measurements, and I received a detailed estimate quickly via email. The estimator (Darren I think?) was especially helpful. He provided practical advice to help us save money, even suggesting that we could apply Rain-X monthly to make the glass easier to maintain. I didn’t end up hiring them, but their honest and customer-focused approach left a great impression. Our shower door cracked so we had Michael's come and pick it up. To no fault of their own, they were having staffing issues due to COVID-19, so our door took about three months to come back. I used them to replace a large mirror and few years ago, so when a need presented itself for a product they offer, I called about it.  They wanted to charge $25.00 for a 25 1/2 inch plastic sweep for the bottom of my frameless shower door - unbelievable! This is our second review of Michael's glass because this is the second time we have had them install glass for a shower (we moved). Their work is still excellent! During installation they found a flaw in the glass (not from their own errors) and they offered a replacement piece free of charge and even installed the flawed glass so that we could use the shower in the meantime. I thinks this is the second review I've written.  Michaels installed a shower door for me about 3 years ago.  The plastic piece on the bottom of the door wore out and I called them to come out and replace it.  The guys were great...and it was no charge.  I used Michaels in my old house and used them again. Darren gave me an estimate for replacing an old shower door, explained options and pros and cons of each. Darren also kindly answered more questions when I placed a followup call about some concerns I had. The price was reasonable compared to  that of other shower door providers I shopped. The installers, Clay and Joe, arrived in the timeframe promised, wore protective booties, and were careful when taking materials and supplies from the truck to the bathroom. I had requested covering for the carpet in the bedroom; they provided a drop cloth for the bathroom and the bedroom. When the installation was complete, Joe and Clay discussed it with me, told me about maintenance and care.  The work area was left clean. This was a second time I have used this company. They did a custom shower door few months ago and now a custom mirror . They were right on time , the price was competitive , they did a nice clean job. I am in remodeling business and because of their good work I get good reviews from my customers. I foolishly destroyed our custom frameless glass shower door.  Darren from Michael's Glass worked with me on replacing it.  He told us about options and why our previous door was an accident waiting to happen (if you are considering frameless, make sure you are able to bolt it to something other than glass!!). He came when he said he would, followed up and kept us informed on the progress of our order and sent two of the nicest installers possible (I'm sorry that I cannot recall their names).  When I was worried that it wasn't perfect, Darren sent his guys back within hours.  And called the next day to make sure I was satisfied. Boy am I ever.
