Now that you have a beautiful glass shower enclosure, you want to make sure you take care of it and maximize its appearance for years to come. Keeping it clean and ensuring maintenance is regularly done will provide you with an attractive shower for years to come.
For the best appearance, use a dry cloth or squeegee to wipe down the enclosure after it has been used and exposed to water.

  • Check to see that the enclosure has adequate ventilation so the humidity can escape
  • Make sure that the surface is clean from fingerprints, dust or soap scum.
  • Cleaning the Shower

You need to use caution when selecting a cleaner for your glass enclosure. Cleaners that may be considered abrasive or have an acid base should not be used because it may scar the glass and the metal of the enclosure. Always use an appropriate cleaner, so you don’t risk damage even once.
If you notice lime and mineral deposits, you should use a mixture that is one part white vinegar to five parts water. The mixture will dissolve the deposits without any damage to your shower enclosure. You can use a window cleaner on the glass, but make sure you select a product that is ammonia free.
Some bathroom cleaners, as long as they don’t have harsh chemicals or produce a gritty or rough feel. Use a soft cloth, such as microfiber, to clean the glass. Don’t cross-contaminate. If you use a cloth on the glass, don’t use it elsewhere then return to the glass. Otherwise, you could damage the glass or cause streaking.
Keeping the shower enclosure clean is the first step in maintaining your shower and making sure it maintains a new, attractive appearance for years to come. Glass shower enclosures are attractive additions to your home, and increase the resell value. Take care of your investment.
